25 Years of AB Jets
From one aircraft to a growing fleet, the airline’s growth is a tale of adventure and ambition.
For the past twenty-five years, AB Jets has embraced innovation and advancement, transforming from humble beginnings into a beacon of excellence in aviation. Beginning in 1999 with a single pilot managing one aircraft, founder Andrew Bettis dared to dream big. With a passion for the skies and a shared vision to become the best, co-owner David Turner joined Bettis on this mission in 2005. Together, they embarked on a journey characterized by adventure and ambition.
Symbolized by its call sign “Fortitude,” the airline operates on strength, resilience, and perseverance principles. For two and a half decades, AB Jets has navigated significant industry shifts and economic challenges. Through each obstacle, the company has thrived and continues to thrive.
As the owner and operator of a fleet of nine Learjet 60s, AB Jets adheres to rigorous maintenance and operational procedures. The company’s commitment to excellence is evidenced by its impeccable safety record. Independent safety audits and inspections also verify their commitment to safe operations. Undergoing one of the most comprehensive and reliable safety audits, AB Jets has earned the ARG/US Platinum rating for ten consecutive years – a rating claimed by less than 5% of operators worldwide.
With its deep roots in the community, AB Jets prioritizes local businesses’ abilities to achieve their goals. By offering flexible scheduling and direct routes, AB Jets contributes to regional growth, connecting local businesses to their destination. The journey of a quarter-century is more than just a tale of business growth; it’s a narrative of community partnership. Beyond its economic contributions, AB Jets has also made a significant social impact, raising over $1 million for local charities.
Stories of rich culture, from vibrant musicians and iconic business figures, often unfold aboard AB Jets flights. Celebrities and business moguls alike have experienced the luxury, comfort, and exceptional service that are hallmarks of the charter operator. This level of service is made possible by the dedicated team of aviation professionals, many of whom have been with the company for over a decade. More than just a charter company, the AB Jets team are curators, carefully crafting each journey.
While AB Jets celebrates its 25th anniversary, it continues to operate excellently with an eye on growth. The company plans to expand its fleet in the coming year, adding three new Challenger 3500 aircraft. This strategic expansion will increase capacity and extend the range, connecting passengers to more destinations and further elevating the standard of private aviation. Their growth plan is ambitious yet achievable. Looking ahead, the vision is clear: AB Jets aims to be the best charter company in the country.
